CLASSICAL EXPLORATION 2 - NIFC (available until 19th Feb 2026) 1 to 12 of 12 results
Our CLASSICAL EXPLORATION series is designed to allow independent classical labels that can often be overlooked the opportunity to promote their catalogues. A temporary discount is applied for two weeks to encourage you to explore the labels at the best possible prices. There will be 8 labels included in the series for 2026, with a new offer starting each week throughout February and March.
Offer #2 features the labels of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, including NIFC, Chopin University Press and Anaklasis.
The institute was established in 2001 to "promote, protect, investigate and popularize the heritage of Chopin" and now serves several functions, including running the famous International Chopin Piano Competition and the annual 'Chopin and His Europe Festival', organising conferences and musicalological symposia, publishing books and journals, running the Chopin museum and associated educational activities, plus the production of beautifully presented CDs and DVDs.
The recordings are issued primarily on their own NIFC label, but they also have oversight of the Chopin University Press and Anaklasis labels, both of which are also included in this promotion. As you would expect, the music is very Chopin-centric, but they also have series such as 'Music from Chopin's Time', 'Music Recommended by Chopin', 'Concerts Frozen in Time' and 'Young Talents' that feature a much wider range of repertoire alongside. It is well worth exploring, even if you are not a Chopin fan.
